🐾 Our Story – The Heart Behind Dragon Pawz
Hi! Welcome to Dragon Pawz!
We’re Maria & Rico—soulmates, anime lovers, jeep + motorcycle adventurers, and passionate pawrents based in Colorado (but California born and raised—Maria from LA, Rico from San Diego).
We met later in life and instantly clicked on a soul level. Together, we bonded over everything we love: animals, manga, art, nature, and of course... some good tequila. We always dreamed of creating something that brought all our passions together—and we knew we couldn’t be the only ones out there who feel the same. So we built Dragon Pawz to be exactly that: a home for anime and bully-breed lovers who want to connect, feel seen, and celebrate the bond we share with our dogs.
🐶 Where It All Began
Our journey with bullies started in 2021 when we brought home our first pitbull, Bulma. Her loving heart and fierce loyalty opened up a whole new kind of love. In 2022, ChiChi joined the pack—and so did an even deeper appreciation for the breed.
That same year, Rico told Maria, “You need an English Bulldog—they’re 100% your vibe.” He was right. Enter Goku, our chunky, affectionate, snorty boy who completely stole our hearts. He wasn’t just a pet—he became family. Maria instantly dove into bulldog education to give Goku the best life possible. Why?
Because as she says—“That’s my son.”
💬 Real Talk from Maria
I was not blessed with human children, and my animals have become the reason for my being. The average bulldog lifespan is 8–10 years, but with the right food, education, and care—we can help them thrive even longer.
I cry every time I hear someone’s dog has passed away. It pushes me to do more. I want to help others extend the lives of their fur babies through better resources, knowledge, and love.
Dogs have mental health too. I see it in my babies every day.

We’re more than just breeders—we’re here to change the game for bully-breed pawrents.
Yes, we breed. But we also:
- Partner with brands we trust to bring you quality products that support bulldog, pitbull, and other bully breeds wellness
- Create resources and education to help new owners care for these amazing breeds
- Build a community where bully breeds are respected, celebrated, and loved
Let’s be real—bully breeds aren’t for everyone, and they’re often misunderstood. But if you’re here, we know you get it. These dogs are loving, loyal, smart, and sensitive. And just like us, they need more than love—they need proper nutrition, mental health, movement, and holistic care.
🧬 What We Offer
We’ve now focus on AKC English Bulldogs.
We take pride in:
- Carefully selecting breeding pairs based on health, temperament, and lineage
- Using Embark testing with our future pup parents
- Raising our pups in a loving home environment with lots of socialization, enrichment, and care
We don’t just breed—we raise family.
Maria also handcrafts food toppers and treats with premium, locally sourced ingredients—and yes, we’ve got the best kibble recs too. 🐶✨
🏡 Where the Magic Happens
Although we’re Colorado transplants, this is our home. We live in Aurora, CO with our fur family, where each dog has their own space and is treated like royalty.
They’re our kids—plain and simple.
We work with our incredible vet, who specializes in bulldogs and helps us make sure every pup gets the best care possible from day one.

Our babies are available for:
- Local pickup in Colorado
- Or delivery via flight nanny service
We keep open, honest communication throughout the entire process—because trust matters.
